CA launches review after BBL match abandoned over pitch safetyIPL

Cricket Australia has announced a comprehensive review of the Big Bash League (BBL) match between the Melbourne Renegades and Perth Scorchers in Geelong. The match was abandoned after only 6.5 overs were bowled due to safety concerns about the Kardinia Park wicket, which was affected by heavy rain. Despite initial green light, play was suspended in the seventh over with the Perth Scorchers at 30 for two after unsettling deliveries by batsman Josh Inglis from Renegades' paceman Will Sutherland.
